Role Description: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our growing team. In this role, you will focus on automating infrastructure, ensuring security is integrated throughout the development lifecycle, and enhancing the platform’s overall scalability and reliability. You will work closely with our engineering teams to ensure a secure, efficient, and resilient architecture for Meetsta's growing user base.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid and secure deployment.
- Integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle, following DevSecOps principles.
- Build and maintain automation tools for deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure gRPC services, APIs, and microservices are secure and optimized.
- Monitor and improve platform performance, scalability, and security.
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) to support continuous integration and deployment efforts.
- Implement security policies, protocols, and best practices to safeguard Meetsta’s platform and data.
- Respond to and resolve system alerts, incidents, and vulnerabilities with a focus on root cause analysis and remediation.
- Ensure platform availability and stability through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analysis across the platform, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams to enhance system architecture with security-by-design principles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Prior experience in DevSecOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with security practices in server environments, and containerized infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Expertise in CI/CD tools (Github Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.) with a focus on security integration.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of the Linux Operating System.
- Experience with gRPC and microservice architectures is a plus.
- Knowledge of security frameworks and tools like OWASP, CIS Benchmarks, and security scanning tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Go.
- Familiarity with building dashboards by using monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK Stack, etc.).
- Having Certifications in Kubernetes, Terraform, and Cybersecurity is a plus.
